Gebirgsstabilisierung

Rock Mass Stabilization

Rock mass stabilization involves protecting against falling loose rock and debris in fault zones, as well as solidification of brittle rock sections that could endanger the construction or operation of tunnels and mining facilities. It is installed between the rock mass and the tunnel lining and serves to stabilize the rock and transfer loads to load-bearing areas.

Depending on the requirements, grouting measures are used to stabilize and reinforce the crown, to backfill cavities/voids such as the contact zone between the tunnel lining and the rock mass, and to combine waterproofing and stabilization in the presence of groundwater.

PU resins, sometimes in combination with cement, and silicate resins are used for stabilizing backfill; in loose, sandy subsoils, silicate foam resins or acrylate gels are employed, all of which contribute to the long-term stabilization of tunnel structures.

  • PU Injection Resins

    WEBAC® PURseal

    • Consolidation Line

WEBAC PURseal is a fast-curing, permanently sealing PU injection resin. It cures into a compact, high-strength material without contact with water, while it reacts with a slight foaming action upon contact with water. The resin is used for subsoil stabilization and rock reinforcement, as well as for sealing against flowing and pressurized water in Foundation Pits, tunnels, and transportation infrastructure projects.

  • PU Injection Resins

    WEBAC® PURseal M S

    • Consolidation Line

WEBAC PURseal M S is a fast-curing PU injection resin with DIBt approval for environmental compatibility when in contact with soil and groundwater. It cures into a compact, high-strength material without contact with water, while it reacts with a slight foaming effect when in contact with water. The resin is used for subsoil stabilization and rock reinforcement, as well as for securing foundation pits and tunnel structures.

  • PU Injection Resins

    WEBAC® PURseal M SL5

    • Consolidation Line

WEBAC PURseal M SL5 is a relatively fast-curing PU injection resin. It cures into a compact, high-strength material without contact with water, but reacts with slight foaming when it comes into contact with water. The resin is used for subsoil stabilization and rock reinforcement, as well as for securing foundation pits and tunnel structures.

  • PU Injection Foam Resins

    WEBAC® PURstop 1C

    • Consolidation Line

WEBAC PURstop 1C is a single-component, polyurethane-based injection resin with a catalyst. Upon contact with water, it reacts rapidly and expands vigorously, forming an elastic, adaptable foam that reliably stops water ingress. The reaction time can be adjusted using the WEBAC PURstop ACC 1C catalyst. It is suitable for sealing Foundation Pits, for solidification of loose soils, and for filling voids.

  • Silicate Resins

    WEBAC® SILfill

    • Consolidation Line

WEBAC SILfill is a low-viscosity silicate injection foam resin. Even without contact with water, it forms a fine-celled foam with a high expansion ratio and cures quickly into a material that can be cut and planed. The resin is used for shield injection in the immediate vicinity of TBMs, as well as for subsoil stabilization and rock reinforcement.
