Reliable foundation relaying in clay soil

Significant settlement was observed at the stables of a historic castle. This was caused by the unique clay soil beneath the structure, which compromised the building’s stability.

Soil Stabilization
Reliable foundation relaying in clay soil

To preserve the historic building structure, targeted grouting was carried out using WEBAC PURseal M S. This grouting resin is designed for subsoil stabilization and rock solidification. It is suitable for solidifying rock and stabilizing soil, including applications such as Foundation Relaying, foundation underpinning, raising floor slabs, and slope stabilization measures.
In this project, the subsoil beneath the Marstall was compacted through targeted injections. At the same time, the building structure was raised in a controlled manner. Precise monitoring during the injection process was crucial to precisely control movements and prevent damage to the historic structure.
The use of WEBAC PURseal M S restored the building’s structural stability. The historic structure was permanently secured, and the Marstall was stabilized for the long term.

Products Used

  • PU Injection Resins

    WEBAC® PURseal M S

    • Consolidation Line

WEBAC PURseal M S is a fast-curing PU injection resin with DIBt approval for environmental compatibility when in contact with soil and groundwater. It cures into a compact, high-strength material without contact with water, while it reacts with a slight foaming effect when in contact with water. The resin is used for subsoil stabilization and rock reinforcement, as well as for securing foundation pits and tunnel structures.
