PU Injection Resins
WEBAC® 1403
- Classic Line
The Arena Gdansk is a modern soccer stadium in the port city on the Baltic Sea. The arena was built specifically for the European Soccer Championship 2012 and was one of eight venues built especially for the event.

The building site on which the soccer stadium was constructed presented the construction managers with major challenges. The firefighting water tanks for the fire protection systems were built directly on a 40 cm thick floor slab. Due to critical subsoil conditions, problematic soil conditions, and the large spans of the concrete elements used, cracks appeared in the concrete components and in the floor slab during the construction phase as a result of severe temperature fluctuations.
As the start of the 2012 European Football Championship was set in stone, there was no flexibility in terms of time. It was therefore necessary to quickly find an injection material that would seal reliably even at low temperatures and could be used effectively in damp and wet cracks in reinforced concrete element walls. Good adhesion (edge adhesion) was also required. The decision was made to use WEBAC 1403 PU injection resin. This material impressed with its long-proven properties, low viscosity, and excellent crack penetration.
Due to its closed, fine-cell pore structure, WEBAC 1403 is flexible and receptive to component stresses. Using an accelerator, the reaction time and curing of WEBAC 1403 could be optimally adjusted to the low temperatures.
The injection was carried out with 10/110 mm injection packers at a working pressure between 10 bar and 30 bar. The rapid reaction of the material enabled construction work to continue quickly and the specified completion date to be met.
The result was impressive: the Baltic Arena Gdansk was completed on time and provided the setting for a spectacular event. The long-term impermeability of the structure makes the stadium a reliable and modern venue for major sporting events in the long term.
PU Injection Resins
WEBAC 1403 is a long-track-record proven PU injection resin, particularly valued for its safe and controlled application. Upon contact with water, it cures into a closed, waterproof, and dimensionally stable resin with a fine pore structure. It is suitable for sealing, crack injection, and stabilizing masonry and concrete, and is used for post-construction damp proof courses (dpc) against capillary rising damp.
