The Igls bobsleigh track is located in the spa town of Igls near Innsbruck, at the foot of the Patscherkofel mountain. A combined bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track was built here for the 1976 Winter Olympics. This world-first combined track served as a model for future artificial ice tracks. After various renovations in 1981 and 1998, extensive concrete restoration work became necessary in 2004.

The 1,270 m long ice channel is made entirely of in-situ concrete, in which a total of 80 km of cooling pipes are laid. After 28 years of operation, considerable damage became apparent:
In order to be able to withstand the high loads in the future, it was necessary to seal the cracks in a structural manner. Due to the extent of the damage, individual crack treatment was no longer practicable, so the affected areas were treated with crack filling. WEBAC 4110 was used for this purpose, which was applied to the damaged areas until no more material penetrated the cracks. The treated areas were then sprinkled with fire-dried quartz sand to ensure adhesion for the subsequent mineral reprofiling mortar. A total of around 6,000 m² of concrete surfaces were renovated.
Thanks to the use of WEBAC 4110, a completely renovated ice channel has been available since November 2004, in which winter sports enthusiasts can descend at speeds of up to 120 km/h.

PU Injection Foam Resins
WEBAC 150 is a versatile PU injection foam resin (SPU) that is particularly valued for its safe and easy application. Upon contact with water, it cures with significant expansion to form a surface-tight, firm-elastic foam with a very fine-cell structure. This makes it suitable for the rapid, temporary closure and sealing of pressurized water-bearing cracks, cavities/voids, and leaks in building construction, civil engineering, bridge construction, and tunnel construction.
