The historic Villa Persius is located on the grounds of the Potsdam Botanical Garden, formerly the site of the Sanssouci court nursery. The building was constructed in 1847 in Italian style and has a Latin cross floor plan. The two-story structure features an altar on the east side and a loggia with characteristic rows of columns on the west side.

The Villa Persius in Potsdam Botanical Garden had problems with surface water ingress. The historic floor coverings of the balcony and loggia were particularly at risk. During the renovation, the surface waterproofing had to be renewed, whereby strict adherence to the original installation heights was necessary in order to preserve the existing access doors.
The following measures were carried out as part of the renovation:

Dispersion for Walls and Floors
WEBAC 5611 is a reactive bitumen-acrylate dispersion that adheres well to a wide variety of substrates and has crack-bridging properties. The hydrophobic effect of the bitumen component creates a waterproof seal with reliable protection against leaching by salts harmful to structures. This makes WEBAC 5611 suitable for surface waterproofing against hydrostatic pressure in building construction, civil engineering, and historic preservation.
