Dispersion for Walls and Floors
WEBAC® 5611
- Classic Line
Biesdorf Palace, built in 1868, served as the residence of the Siemens family for over three decades. The building, located in a 14-hectare landscape conservation park, was already distinguished at the time by modern technology such as electricity, low-pressure steam heating, fire alarms, and a shaft pump. The architecture of the castle, with its T-shaped floor plan, column-adorned pergolas, and a tall, octagonal tower, is based on Italian models.

Biesdorf Castle suffered considerable damage in 1945 and subsequently fell into disrepair until 2002. Extensive renovation work began in 2002 and was successfully completed in 2016 with the reconstruction of the former manor house. In the course of this work, professional waterproofing against surface and rainwater was particularly necessary in order to protect the structure in the long term.
Special waterproofing systems from WEBAC were used for waterproofing under the historic balcony flooring and under the facade paint:
Waterproofing under facade paint (against rainwater/surface water)

Waterproofing under historic balcony flooring (against surface water)

Dispersion for Walls and Floors
WEBAC 5611 is a reactive bitumen-acrylate dispersion that adheres well to a wide variety of substrates and has crack-bridging properties. The hydrophobic effect of the bitumen component creates a waterproof seal with reliable protection against leaching by salts harmful to structures. This makes WEBAC 5611 suitable for surface waterproofing against hydrostatic pressure in building construction, civil engineering, and historic preservation.
