PU Injection Resins

- Classic Line
In a multi-story Neo-Baroque villa in Frankfurt’s Westend district, extensive masonry restoration work was carried out as part of a planned conversion project. Built between 1870 and 1910, the building, with its richly detailed stucco façade and cut-stone elements, defines the prestigious character of this historic neighborhood. The rooms in the basement, which had previously been used primarily as storage space, were to be put to high-quality use in the future.

As part of the renovation, the foundation was fitted with a new subgrade. In addition, the joints in the area in contact with the ground were repaired using mineral-based materials. To protect against rising damp, a post-construction damp proof course (dpc) was installed using WEBAC 1403. The capillary-blocking injection system was used in accordance with the design specifications and was specifically applied to the masonry.
Special attention was paid to the floor-wall connection. Here, an injection tube with end pieces and a fastening grid was installed and then completely injected with WEBAC 1403. This allowed this structurally sensitive area to be reliably integrated into the waterproofing measures.
The measures implemented help to permanently protect the historic building structure from moisture damage and ensure the long-term use of the valuable rooms in the basement.

PU Injection Resins
WEBAC 1403 is a long-track-record proven PU injection resin, particularly valued for its safe and controlled application. Upon contact with water, it cures into a closed, waterproof, and dimensionally stable resin with a fine pore structure. It is suitable for sealing, crack injection, and stabilizing masonry and concrete, and is used for post-construction damp proof courses (dpc) against capillary rising damp.
